Ellen and Joe were married at the St. Thomas More Newman Center on Mizzou’s campus in Columbia, Missouri. Joe and Ellen opted to get ready separately, and not to see each other prior to their wedding ceremony, which made for some sweet moments once Ellen began her walk down the aisle!
Ellen’s father passed away when she was young, so Ellen chose to be escorted down the aisle by her two brothers, and then was met halfway by her mother and grandfather. Ellen also wore a beautiful locket that her father had given to her when she was younger.
Following their heartfelt wedding ceremony, we took portraits with Ellen, Joe, and their wedding party around the Mizzou campus and downtown Columbia before heading to the Country Club of Missouri for their reception. Joe is an avid golfer, so of course we also had to incorporate some golf into their photos! Thankfully, Joe and Ellen’s wedding party was absolutely fantastic, and were up for anything. We had so much fun taking their photos! During the reception, Ellen and Joe’s family and friends toasted them with encouraging words and hilarious anecdotes. Then, Joe and Ellen took to the dance floor for their first dance, followed by Joe’s dance with his mother and Ellen’s dance with her brothers, grandfather, and uncles.
Joe and Ellen’s day was filled with so much love, family, friends, and laughter, and it was such an honor to be a part of it. Thank you again, Ellen and Joe, for choosing us to be a part of your special day! <3
